Have you ever wonder why you do what you do?

There are multiple factors that shape your life: Your family’s culture, what you saw, what you heard, and your experiences. Everything we put in our mind, is going to be shown in our future life.

Important part of this is our family, but for today we will focus on our friends. We spend like 50% (might be more or less) of the time with our friends. Studying during and after school and university, playing outside (at least during my childhood it was always outside), having parties with them, etc. So, If what we put in our mind will dictate our future… Don’t you agree that this 50% of your life spent with your friends is important?

Why you are who you are?

Just look at your friends. What they do or think about, the dreams they have, what they love or what they hate. I am not saying you do or think exactly like them, I know people say “I don’t do what my friends do, they are stupid sometimes and I am not” or “I can think and make my own decision”. Unfortunately, those comments, attitudes, and believes get stuck in our brain subconsciously. If you have negative friends, there is a high probability you will be negative. If they complain all the time, probably you will complain very often.

The same works the other way around. If you are with positive friends, you will be positive. If you have friends with big dreams you will probably have big dreams too. It is difficult to be exposed to something and not internalize it after years. You are, today, the product of everything that was around you in the past. We know we spent a large part of the time with our friends, which means that if you are not feeling happy, it might be because you have been surrounded by people that haven’t made you feel like that. Maybe you were surrounded by the wrong people, or maybe you were surrounded by people that extinguish your inner fire. Think about it for a few minutes.

Pick the right people and bring it into your life

We all have been with someone that make us feel really comfortable, loved, excited, energetic, passionate, and so on. Go and meet that person more often, it is as simple as that. In all my post I say that we can feel what is right, the same works here. We can feel that positive energy when we are with the right ones. Even strangers on the bus might make us feel better that some of our friends. Just look around, there are millions of people walking by, don’t you think you can find the right ones? Whatever you are now, it is the result of your previous years of life, yes your past. Today you are creating the future you. This is really important, stay with me.

What you are doing today, is going to determine who you will become in the future

Every decision you are making today, everything you are putting in your brain, will be shown later in your future. We must be very careful with this. Even what we watch on Youtube every single day will determine your future self, at least the kind of thought you’ll have. If you are hanging around with your friends every day, make sure you are with the right ones. Make sure they make you feel unique, special and bring the best out of you, make sure they fill your soul with courage and love, make sure they are helping you in creating a better version of yourself.

Today, Watching a quick video, one guy said: “Add one new winner friend and cut one loser friend”. Go and do it, be selfish, it’s your life in the game. Go for some meetups, go on facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and message people that are how you want to be (be careful with the fake ones). Take action and add at least one new, high performance, friend into your life.
